Day 24

It was another fabulous weather day today, and we set off for Hulett WY.  Hulett, according to James is a mini Sturgis with events and bike activities all its own.  So we got on I-90 and soon we were at a dead stop.  There was an accident that closed the road and we sat there for 20 minutes.  Once cleared we continued , got off our exit and traveled on.  When we got to the town of Aladdin, population 15, the traffic stopped again, and luckily we were right in front of the 110 year old general store. This must be where 10 of the 15 people live because I saw only 1 other house on the road. And as luck would have it, they had a live band, cold beer and the best smoked brisket sandwich ever.  Even better than that place in California I mentioned earlier in the blog.  So we were able to sit and relax in the shade for the hour that traffic was at a dead stop.  We knew when the traffic would soon open up because we saw the Medevac helicopter take off.  My guess it was probably a biker since bikes comprise 98% of the vehicles on the road. Not sure if you can see all the bikes backed up in the picture from the parking lot in Aladdin.

We continued onto Hulett where we spent an hour or so walking about. We then went on to see Devils Tower, which was an amazing and imposing piece of rock sticking up out of the countryside. Once again, you gotta see it.

I was listening to the radio as we rode today, and you know you are far from NJ when the news reports Cattle Futures, Cash Cattle, and that aliens suspected of cattle mutilations.

Not sure what's on the agenda for tomorrow yet, possibly Deadwood.
