Day 2

Day 2 started out great.  Breakfast in the lobby of the hotel and we were on the road by 8am. The morning was cool when we got back onto Rt 50. But there's were the great part became eventful. Once we entered Ohio, 3 of us became separated from Jerry. (But that story is too long to get into here)  Then when the 3 of us were trying to hook back up with Jerry, James took a turn and became separated from Joe and I.   It took about 30 minutes for all 4 of us to find one another again.
Once reunited, we continued west on rt 50. By now it was getting hot.  We stopped in Owensville OH for lunch at Uncle T's Eatery.  It was there that we met Josh. Josh is 8 years old and took an instant liking to us and our bikes. Why us I have no idea, but I could understand liking the bikes. He instantly became our adopted mascot.  Josh is pictured here with us.  I don't want to brag, but he liked my bike the best.  He even got on his bicycle and followed us as we pulled away.
We stopped by a Harley dealer in Cincinnati and made a few minor equipment adjustments on the bikes.  On our away out of Cincinnati and  back to route 50, we took a wrong turn and got lost in the cultural part of the city.  I stopped to ask directions from a local Cincinnati resident, and he was nice enough to personally escort us back to route 50 W.
Today's portion of Route 50 turned out to be some nice some not so nice.  There was a mix of back country rural America, small-town America and stop and go heavy traffic  in certain areas.  We covered 291 miles today, significantly less than we had hoped to.  But it's all part of the journey.   We ended day two in North Vernon, Indiana.
