Day 4

Our day ended rather abruptly today.  Around 11:30 AM when James started experiencing problems with his trike.  He thought it was the transmission acting up and we pulled off the road in Sedalia, Missouri.  As it turns out there was Yeager's Harley-Davidson dealership about 1 mile from where we pulled off the road.  To make a long story short, we never left the dealership until about 4:30 PM.  By then, Jim had 2 choices. To rent a U haul, load up the trike and head home, or to trade in his trike and purchase a new one.  James decided that he would miss our company the next 4 weeks so much, that he decided to buy a new trike.  But that deal could not be completed until at least Friday and several things had to fall into place. Like the dealer being able to locate a trike and having it shipped to them, because the only one at the dealer was sold waiting to get picked up.  Right now it's still up in the air as to whether James will have something to ride tomorrow, or maybe even Saturday. So we checked into the Best Western across the street, which just happened to have a restaurant and bar.  Are we lucky or what?
So I'm sorry to report, no other pictures today.

  3. When I talked to Jerry today, he said that James got a real good deal on his New Trike. Happy to hear that and he didn't get ripped off or taken advantage of. Hopefully the rest of the trip will be trouble free. Continue down the road to wherever it takes you.
